Opposing panels mirror one another in colour, creating a sense of rhythm and harmony — playful yet composed, vibrant yet controlled.

Hand-composed panel by panel, Bala is crafted from hand-woven South American textiles, sourced through long-standing relationships with weaving communities. Each fabric carries natural variation in weave, tone, and texture. No two panels — and no two pieces — are ever the same.

Bala belongs to the Core Collection: Salabim’s foundational series of enduring, ready-to-live-with objects.

The form is deliberate: weighted, balanced, and quietly substantial. Designed to hold doors open without interruption, Bala also exists comfortably as a sculptural object — anchoring a shelf, stabilising movement, or simply holding space within a room.

Finished with a leather handle and a unique serial number engraved beneath, Bala is a singular object — made to be used daily and kept permanently.
